This year the TOTA Summit is hitting the road and will take you to learn and explore from businesses throughout Kamloops. Three Learning Journeys have been created to showcase some of the business endeavors and accomplishments this community has to offer.
Journey 1
Secwépemc Museum, Kamloops Heritage Railway, BC Wildlife Park
Explore the stories that have shaped Kamloops through a visit to the Secwépemc Museum, a behind-the-scenes look at the Kamloops Heritage Railway, and a special experience at the BC Wildlife Park. A journey connecting Indigenous culture, regional history and wildlife conservation.

Step back into Kamloops’ rail history with a guided visit to the Kamloops Heritage Railway. This 30–40 minute experience includes a close-up look at the iconic 2141 steam locomotive, the railway backshop and a collection of heritage rail cars, along with stories that bring the region’s railway past to life.
Enjoy a special visit to the BC Wildlife Park, including an exclusive ride on the park train and time to explore this unique conservation and education attraction. Following the experience, stay and join fellow delegates for the Welcome Bash hosted by Tourism Kamloops—an evening of food, connection and celebration to kick off the Summit.
Journey 2
Lions Head Meadery, Monte Creek Winery, BC Wildlife Park
Experience the flavours of the Thompson Valley with guided visits and tastings at Lions Head Meadery and Monte Creek Winery, followed by a special visit to the BC Wildlife Park. Discover local producers, sustainable practices and the stories behind some of the region’s distinctive beverages.
Meet the Businesses
Discover one of the world’s oldest fermented beverages at Lion's Head Meadery, a locally rooted stop on the Kamloops Wine Trail. Enjoy a guided tasting of small-batch meads crafted with honey from the Meadery’s own bees and locally sourced BC fruit, while learning about the journey from hive to glass.
Go behind the scenes at Monte Creek Winery and discover how innovation and sustainability are shaping winemaking in the Thompson Valley. Tour the winery’s certified organic, gravity-fed production facility, learn about its regenerative and low-intervention approach to growing and production, and of course, finish the experience with a tasting of Monte Creek’s award-winning wines.

Riverside Park - Creating Powerful Places: Building Kamloops as a Destination

From year-round activation at Riverside Park to the ambitious Build Kamloops vision, this tour explores how the city and tourism partners are working together to strengthen Kamloops’ Sport Capital identity, grow the visitor economy and create lasting community benefit.
